Moncler was founded in 1952 in the French ski resort Monestier-de-Clermont, the town that gives the brand its name. The first creator, René Ramillon, produced mountain equipment by hand, thus creating the first duvets useful for the workers of the company itself. Thus was born the emblematic garment of Moncler.
